An original play by Linda Beaney based on the life of Miss Willmott of Warley Place and the novel The Wall by John Cannell. At one time Ellen Wilmott employed over 100 gardeners at Warley Place and the plants and landscaping were admired by everyone from the common man to royalty. The Alpine gardens can still be seen. The play covers her life from a young girl setting up the gardens through her travels collecting seeds and plants from all over the world to the final decline toward the end o
