Music of the two Elizabeths

A concert by the Sterndale Singers, conductor Robert Webb, to celebrate the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The programme features music with connections to Elizabeth I and Elizabeth II and includes music by Gibbons, Byrd and Tallis. There will be settings of Shakespeare songs by Vaughan Williams and Jaakko Mantyjarvi, and music by Judith Weir, the current Master of the Queen's Music. In addition, a selection of madrigals from 'The Triumphs of Oriana.'
