Open Garden: Tillypronie
Late Victorian house for which Queen Victoria laid a foundation stone. Herbaceous borders, terraced garden, heather beds, water garden and new rockery. New Golden Jubilee garden still being laid out. Shrubs and ornamental trees, including pinetum with rare specimens. Fruit garden and greenhouses. Superb views. In June there is a wonderful show of azaleas and spring heathers. All proceeds to SG.. more

Open Garden: Kildrummy Castle Gardens
April shows the gold of the lysichitons in the water garden and the small bulbs naturalised beside the copy of the 14th century Brig o’ Balgownie. Rhododendrons and azaleas from April (frost permitting). September/October brings colchicums and brilliant colour with acers, fothergillas and viburnums. Aberdeen Branch Multiple Sclerosis Society receives 40%, the net remaining to SG.. more
