Queer Botanical Mark Making

Free drop-in workshop at the Physicians’ Gallery.

Join us for the second of our LGBTQ+ drop-in art workshops.

In this workshop we will be ‘queering’ botanical illustration - using a range of art materials and paper types we will use fun drawing prompts to explore different ways of recording plants and flowers.

We will have a selection of plants to draw from life, with lavender as our centrepiece chosen for its associations with the LGBTQ+ community. Further information on lavender and queer ecology will be provided.

This workshop is open to LGBTQ+ people and allies of all ages.

This workshop will be led by local queer artist Rachel Howarth and RCPE Heritage Engagement Co-ordinator Rachel Forrest.
