PYGMALION is the popular play about Henry Higgins, who, on overhearing the raucous tones of a cockney flower-girl, claims that, with the help of his acquaintance, Colonel Pickering, he could pass her off as a duchess in three months. Much to his surprise the girl takes him up on it, with unexpected results for all concerned. The wonderful musical MY FAIR LADY was based on this book. more
