After the runaway success of our Southampton-based book and supper club (it still has a long waiting list) we are launching a book and supper club in Winchester. Meeting at 7.30pm on the first Thursday of each month in Winchester in a private room of an atmospheric restaurant, we’ll first enjoy a set meal together followed by discussions and deliberations about the latest novel. We’ll be following a reading list but are happy to change the list if that’s the majority opinion. Places are limited so you’ll need to book promptly. Please see our website for further information. more

The Memory of Water
The members of Lyndhurst Drama and Musical Society present this dark comedy by Shelagh Stephenson. The play won the 2000 Laurence Olivier award for best comedy. It takes place over 2 days when three sisters come together for their mother’s funeral. As they talk about relationships, both within the family and with the men in their lives, it becomes clear that they have very different memories of the same events. The resulting bickering about whose memories are true is both hugely comic and deeply moving. The play was made into a film called ’Before You Go’. The play contains some strong language. Curtain up at 7.45 pm more
7.45 pm. Tickets: £7 Thursday/£8 Friday and Saturday from ’Gadget Tree’, 8 High Street, Lyndhurst; Telephone bookings: 023 80282729 Tickets available from early January 2012.

Every event on WhereCanWeGo has been added by the organisers themselves, so you get a really good feel for what events are about.
If you're organising a public event, you can promote it for FREE by registering here ~ it works so well.
If you're organising a public event, you can promote it for FREE by registering here ~ it works so well.
Don't take our word. See what our organisers say:
"We used it to promote a one day open day and it turned out to be the most effective way of getting visitors; slightly over 1/3 rd came through your site, 1/3 from posters and flyers and rather less than 1/3 from the £1,000 of local press ads we paid for!."
- The Midland Gliding Cub.
"We had an excellent response from our posting on WhereCanWeGo.com, and it was responsible for drawing folk from a wide area to our event; we recommend you as being the most effective form of publicity around."
