Come and find out more about the building of this beautiful castle at one of our hourly talks with our medieval characters. This month our medieval character talks will focus on the building of the castle back in 1385. Discover how Sir Edward persuaded King Richard II to give him a licence to crenellate, what building techniques were used and the various tradesmen that were employed in this massive feat of engineering.
