East Coast Connections
The Lastingham Annual Lecture 'East Coast Connections' by Professor Ian Wood and post lecture supper.
The lecture will be an investigation of the 7th century conections between Lastingham and Whitby, on one hand, and monasteries in East Anglia and the northern part of the Frankish Kingdon on the other. It will look at Cedd and his brothers alongside Hild and her sister herewith as well as AEthelthryth of Ely, and the Irish saints Fursey, Foillan and Ultan.
