Chester Town Hall
Heritage Open Day: This imposing Victorian Gothic civil building dominates Chester's main square. Built between 1865-69 (architect: W. H. Lynn), the Town Hall was originally opened by the Prince of Wales and the Prime Minister, W. E. Gladstone. It was inspired by the medieval cloth hall at Ypres, Belgium. Now run by Chester Racecourse Company as offices & conference facilities.
