Janet Cook has won two National Quilt Championships and a variety of other prizes for her quilts, then turned her attention to a wider range of textile techniques, some entirely her own. She has spent the summer in and out of Bedfordshire hedgerows, exploring the colours and textures of the fauna and flora. She has used natural dyes, paints, inks and many different textiles, from jute to raw silk to portray what she feels about the fragility of nature.
