Ashby Film Nights - Ethel and Ernest (PG)

A beautiful true story about the parents of Raymond Briggs done in a simple animated style. It follows their life from 1920s onward encompassing the Second World War, the creation of the welfare state, the post-war age of austerity and the relative affluence of the 60s. Their voices are perfectly provided by Blethyn and Jim Broadbent.
