Church of St. Margaret of Antioch, Crick

St. Margaret's is an ancient, Grade 1 listed church, which once had Archbishop Laud as rector. There is a Norman font, a wonderful stained glass East window and a historic organ, recently restored. Unusually, nowadays, the church is open every day.
We reached the end of Phase 1 of a major restoration to the tower, spire and four windows in December 2012, and the craftsmanship is well worth inspection. We have also installed new heating and lights to make the building a more comfortable place. The church is easily accessible for wheelchair users.
Crick was mentioned in the Domesday Book and the church is much appreciated by its visitors, many of whom come from the nearby Grand Union canal. (Near J18 of theM1) George 'Cabin' Smith, a philanthropist who saw that the children of boat families received some education, is buried in the churchyard.
You can come to pray, reflect or just soak up the atmosphere at any time, totally free of charge.between 9am and 5pm..
