Manchester Camerata Principals concert: Mozart Haydn Britten 5:30pm
In their welcome return to the Stafford area, Principals from Manchester Camerata will offer ‘a sumptuous feast of works from Britten, Haydn and Bertrand, as well as Mozart’s Flute and Oboe Quartets’
Starting at 5:30pm, the concert runs until 7:30pm, including an interval for refreshments and drinks. Tickets are just £10. Free parking nearby. Manchester Camerata’s principal wind players Amina Hussain (Flute) and Rachael Clegg (Oboe) will join their Principal string players for this performance: orchestra leader Caroline Pether (violin); Alex Mitchell (viola) and Hannah Roberts (‘cello).

Part 2: Haydn’s Flute Quartet in D, Elise Bertrand’s Lettera Amorosa, and Mozart’s Oboe Quartet K.370.
Manchester Camerata is the leading chamber orchestra in the NW region, renowned for critically acclaimed recordings of Mozart’s piano concerti and opera overtures. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791) is at the heart of their repertoire and to which they bring fresh and vibrant interpretations to audiences around the world. “Energetic Mozart up there with the very best… soloists, conductor and orchestra conjure up a magical soundworld” [BBC Music magazine]
Each year, ACCS puts on four or five high-standard, usually classical concerts [sometimes jazz] in the mediaeval Adbaston church, which has very good acoustics. Our aim is to make professional concert level music available in Stafford Borough area, at an affordable £10: audience around 60 – 80 people, sometimes more. We try to give a platform to regional artists and to developing international talents who will benefit from the exposure for building their professional concert CVs.
