Dave Rae's Levee Ramblers
The Levee Ramblers were formed out of the embers of “The Rae Brothers New Orleans Jazz Band” following the retirement of clarinet player Mac Rae.
The nucleus of the band remains the same, with original members Dave Rae on banjo/leader along with John Robinson playing double bass and Jim Blenkin on trombone.
They continue to play in the New Orleans ensemble style, our inspiration coming from the revival period of New Orleans music as recorded and produced by the likes of William Russell
