Astronomy - Sixty years of the Space Age: Satellites and space probes

A 10 week course organised by the WEA starting on Thursday 21 September at 7pm - 9.15pm in Loughborough.
October marks the 60th anniversary of the launch of Sputnik and we will look at some of the immense contributions that satellites and space probes made to our understanding of astronomy.
Additionally, we will consider the stars and planets on view in the autumn sky and keep abreast of astronomy and space stories in the news.

The last session will be on Thursday 30 November.
