The Path to Martyrdom

Heritage Open Day: Discover Anne Askew (Ayscoughe) the Tudor Martyr born 1520 of the noble Ayscoughe family, burnt as a heretic in 1546, racked in an attempt to implicate Queen Catherine in outspoken anti Catholic rhetoric. Talk by Mr John Taylor at 14.15 and lasts approximately ½ an hour.
