Herdings Community and Heritage Centre
Heritage Open Day: The building, originally known as The Herdings, was an old farmhouse and is the second oldest building in Sheffield. It is Grade 2 Listed with much of it dating back to 1675. It is a cruck building with the oldest part having been built on Saxon foundations from the13th century.
The original cruck frame is in beautiful condition and can be viewed and touched with care by visitors throughout the oldest part of the building. An original stone fire place is still in existence an
