Common Threads: Costume Design Workshop

Join theatre designer Rebecca Lee for this fun taster session and exploration into the curiously inventive world of costume design.

Loosely based on relatable characters from within George Orwell’s Animal Farm we will observe what threads and interesting clothing choices placard-carrying poultry, radical roosters and stay-at-home hens might just have in common. There could be much more to this collective of chicks than immediately meets the eye.

The day will finish in a colourful character based dress up session where you will have opportunity to style your very own activist ‘chick’ or punk ‘poultry’ look.

No prior reading or design experience is necessary for this workshop. All background info and supporting skills will be shared and developed as part of the day. Please see the website for more information.
