Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh - A unique journey into Irish music
On an instrument he commissioned and named, Caoimhín makes minimalist, spine-tingling music with clear roots in the language of Irish traditional music. The ‘hardanger d’amore’ is a cross between the Norwegian traditional hardanger fiddle and a viola d’amore - 10 strings in total, and a whole world of resonance.
