Sentaro is the rather glum manager of a café selling dorayaki pancakes on the outskirts of Tokyo. When he advertises for an assistant and an eccentric 76-year-old woman, Tokue, applies, he's reluctant to take her on. But when she introduces her own special sweet bean paste, sales soar and Sentaro learns how to smile! A charming and uplifting tale sensitively told.
