Lake grounds Fitness
Outdoor fitness and relaxation class at the Lake Grounds in Portishead for mums and grannies with babies/older children. Low impact class led by a physiotherapist helping post natal women engage their core and pelvic floor, legs and arms, and also learn to relax their pelvic floor. Breathing is a big part of the class and so is education. The class is suitable for women with urinary symptoms such as leaking when coughing/laughing/on trampoline, and those with residual diastasis recti (split between the upper tummy muscles). The exercise is also suitable for those with prolapse. ideally women will have seen a women's health physiotherapist before starting the class but it's not essential.
