Come and visit our Higham Scarecrow Festival. Once again the village will be filled with lots of wonderful scarecrows - our theme this year is ‘OCCUPATIONS &VILLAGE LIFE’. Judging this year will be done by the visitors - nominations for the top three are included on the trail map. Trail maps will be on sale at the village hall and at the Padiham end of Higham Hall Road at a cost of £4 which includes a pen. Completed maps , when handed in , are put into a draw for a possible prize. There is also a children’s trail to be completed. On Saturday, during the afternoon, there will be music from Willy & the Poor Boys. There will be Morris dancing outside the Four Alls Inn on Sunday plus a brass band outside church later in the afternoon. Also a farmers market outside church on Monday. As always
our popular refreshments will be served in the village hall - hot and cold food and drinks. Not forgetting our wonderful second hand book sale in church each day. It’s a wonderful day out and we look forward to welcoming you back once again. Opening times are 11am until 5pm daily.
