World War 2 North Sea, Air Sea Rescue
In which Amphibious Walrus, Lysander and specially modified Spitfires rescued many downed Flyers and sailors, during World War 2... with something like 1000 being rescued by Aircraft based at Martlesham Heath. This story of skill and heroism (well before the development of Helicopters and modern navigational aids) is well worth hearing - a story that has never been properly told before!
Entry £3 for members, £4 for non-members - all just turn up - no need to book.
It takes place from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. Just Arrive early and park behind the largest Hall, adjacent to the Felixstowe Road.
