Old Down Manor Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Old Down Manor is a wonderful example of Victorian architecture. A Victorian walled garden contains the kitchen and cut flower gardens, also sumptuous herbaceous borders. Surrounding the manor are a formal rose garden with many old English roses framed by yew hedges, rolling lawns and newly restructured rockery gardens with views across the Severn Valley. Tempting pathways lead through woodland or meadows to a tranquil lake.
For NGS: Wed 15 June, Wed 31 Aug (10-4). Admission £5, Children free. Light refreshments. Tea and cake in the Manor House. Times:10:00 to 16:00. Open for charity.
