Bristol Zoo Gardens BIG Summer Send Off

Over the spring and summer months, Bristol Zoo Gardens is inviting the public to celebrate its 186-year history, ahead of its final opening day on September 3.

From July 21, the zoo will mark its last summer season with the ‘BIG Summer Send Off’, a collection of fun-filled interactive activities and attractions, which will be open for the duration of the school summer holidays.

The centrepiece of the celebrations will be a huge interactive art installation that will stand tall on the main lawn. This specially commissioned sculpture will mark a pivotal moment in time and captivate visitors.

The BIG Summer Send Off will also feature a collaborative timeline exhibit on Bristol Zoo Gardens’ historic top terrace, which will evolve as visitors add their own memories.

Families can also enjoy fun interactive theatrical experiences, which will take them on an adventure as they explore and learn about animals, and the positive action we can all take to protect the future of the planet.

This programme of events has been designed in partnership with Bakehouse Factory.

Tickets for the BIG Summer Send Off are now available to purchase on Bristol Zoo’s website
