Wellington Open Gardens - Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July
After the success of last year's event, which raised more than £2,000 to help Community Resource's work supporting people and communities across the County facing difficulties, Wellington Open Gardens is returning for it's 2nd year!
Over the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of July, wonderful residents of Wellington, Little Wenlock and Rushton have got together with Love Wellington to open their beautiful private back gardens in aid of local Shropshire charity, Community Resource.
With 18 gardens across Wellington, Little Wenlock and Rushton to explore, the kitchen garden at the Orbit, the secret garden on Wellington Train Station plus the stunning grounds of Sunnycroft it should be a fantastic weekend!
The amazing gardens returning this year are:
Woodford Green, Holme Court, Telford Road, Apley Castle, The Gardener's Lodge (Roseway), Minsterley Close, The Alley (Little Wenlock), Herbert Avenue, Aston Close, Spout Lane (Little Wenlock), Barnfield Crescent and Haygate Road.
We're also over the moon to announce this year we'll be joined by:
Windy Ridge (Little Wenlock), Golf Links Lane, Upper Farm House (Rushton), Hampton Hill, Herbert Avenue, and Hopkins Heath
Some gardens will also, very kindly be offering tea, coffee and cake over the weekend for a small charge with all donations going to Community Resource. Gardens offering this will be clearly marked on the map, so you can plan your visits (and rest stops!)
The Orbit, will also be open over the weekend and are offering a 10% discount for anyone with a wristband during the event.
