A programme of pieces by Liszt, Debussy, Gluck and Szymanowski, performed by virtuoso young Italian-American pianist Giulia Contaldo in the mediaeval Adbaston Church (very good acoustics).
The concert from 5:30-7:30pm is in two parts, with a refreshments interval. The programme is themed 'Myths, Legends and Tales' and will feature pieces from Giulia's recent debut CD, beginning with Debussy's much loved 'Prélude à l’après-midi d'un faune'.
Recently broadcast on Classic FM and BBC Radio, classical pianist Giulia Contaldo is developing an international reputation and career as soloist, playing with leading orchestras, including BBC Philharmonic, Liverpool Philharmonic, and Manchester Camerata. Winner of numerous awards in Italy and the UK, Giulia has also been performing in festivals across Europe and USA.
Giulia Contaldo is supported by the Keyboard Charitable Trust, London, as one of their young artists developing international concert performance careers.
