Anna Elizabeth Cooper
Mezzo-soprano Anna Elizabeth Cooper graduated from the Royal College of Music Opera Studio having gained a Master of Performance with Distinction at the Royal College of Music and a 1st Class Honours Degree at the Royal Northern College of Music. Anna performed many roles at RCM Opera Studio and was Opera Holland Park Young Artist in 2021. She has toured the UK with the Glyndebourne Opera Company and made many other operatic appearances with noted companies. On the concert platform Anna has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, the RCM Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Most recently, Anna won the Maureen Lehane 28th Vocal Awards 2021 and was also a prize winner for the Patricia Rutledge English Song Competition and Brooks -Van der Pump English Song Competition. She is also an Opera Prelude Young Artist 2021/2022. As a Rosehill ‘rising star’ she has also performed various recitals alongside accompanist Anna Tilbrook. On this occasion she is accompanied by pianist Ana Manastireanu, who is an increasingly sought-after collaborative pianist, specialising in song and chamber music and is currently a Britten-Pears Young Artist for 2021-22. Ana graduated with an Artist Diploma in Collaborative Piano from the Royal College of Music in London in July 2021 having won a considerable number of accompanist prizes throughout the period of her academic study.
