Ma Bessie's Prohibition Party
Ma Bessie and her Pig Foot Band take us on a trip back to prohibition-era America, bringing us the very best of the period’s blues and jazz, with a brilliant homage to the Empress of Blues herself. Julia Titus, as Ma Bessie, treats us to a host of blues standards as well as many of her own compositions all perfectly in tune with the music of the time.
We'll be recreating a speakeasy - feel free to dress appropriately - spats and feather boas were very popular (not necessarily worn together!).
