Men Join Our Choir
The Fron Male Voice Choir is a four-section choir with vacancies in all four sections. Men interested in joining do not need to have any choral experience, nor do they have to read music or speak Welsh; however, you should be able to hold a tune.
A vacancy in all four sections means that if you sing high or low, there is a place for you in the choir. The Fron has fifty singing members and rehearses Mondays and Thursdays from 7 until 9. In addition, they have 12 to 15 concerts a year.
All rehearsals are open, and the choir often has visitors and men thinking of joining who want to see what takes place at a rehearsal. You are welcome to attend a Monday or Thursday evening, however, check with the choir that the rehearsal is taking place by emailing or phoning the choir. When a prospective member joins a choir, he will spend around three months as a probationer. During this time, they will learn the existing repertoire to prepare for singing as a full member of a concert.
