Hilton Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
6 private gardens will open for the National Garden Scheme for the 1st time in 2023. Hilton village features a turf maze which was originally cut in 1660 and a parish church dating back to the C12. Both of these will be open to visit. The magnificent village green of 27 acres will be walked across, via the Platinum Jubilee Queens Green Canopy to reach the Community Garden which was established in February 2021. At the Community Garden are raised beds for vegetables, a fruit cage, trugs for herbs and salads, a wildflower garden native hedging and shrubs. This garden has transformed the ground and provides a calm and tranquil setting for villagers to spend time and relax.
