Elmton is a lovely little village situated on a stretch of rare unimproved Magnesian limestone grassland with quaking grass, bee orchids and harebells all set in the middle of attractive, rolling farm land. It has a pub, which serves food all day, a church and a village green with award winning wildlife conservation area and newly restored Pinfold. Cream teas are served in the old schoolroom. Garden opening normally coincides with Elmton Well Dressing, with three well dressings on display. There is a brass band and a local history exhibition. The very colourful but different open gardens have wonderful views. They show a range of gardening styles, themed beds and have a commitment to fruit and vegetable growing.
