Harpenden Choral Society is delighted to present their 50th Anniversary Concert featuring favourite works suggested by the choir. The programme features Miserere by Allegri; I Was Glad by Parry; Bogoritsye Dyevo by Rachmaninov; Evening Hymn by Balfour Gardiner; Cantique de Jean Racine by Fauré ; The Spirit of the Lord by Elgar; The Blue Bird by Stanford; Beati Quorum Via also by Stanford; Locus Iste by Bruckner; Ave Verum by Mozart and Hymn to St Cecilia by Britten. These pieces are choir and audience favourites by virtue of their beauty and power and bringing them together in one programme should make for an enjoyable evening. The concert will be conducted by Musical Director John Andrews with accompaniment by organist George Castle.
