Introduction to Botanical Illustration
This is a ten week class held once a week on Monday 1 - 2.30 p.m.
No experience needed. All welcome. Some materials supplied . It is recommended that the learner has a sketch book and basic materials of their own as keeping up the practice between lessons is encouraged .
Come and learn the art and science of Botanical Illustration.Learn the skills of drawing and water colour, explore the methods artists have used in the past to describe and depict Botanical specimins. Enjoy learning in a small friendly class taught in the artists studio .
The tutor Alison Day has a degree in Botany and has practised both botanical art and analogue photography in her studio for 30 years.
