A full-day workshop designed to inspire sustainability and creativity as we carve unique Eco bee and bug homes from aerated concrete.
About the event
Led by Jayne of JAK’sArt, an experienced carver with a passion for sustainable art, this workshop teaches the art of creating environmentally friendly shelters for solitary bees and invertebrates, combining practical skills with ecological awareness.
The morning begins with an introduction to the tools and materials to be used and a demonstration of the carving techniques by Jayne before participants begin working on their own creations. There will be plenty of opportunities to customise and decorate with drilled patterns, bamboo chambers and pine cones in the afternoon. We will provide all the tools, materials and PPE required to take part in this session. We recommend wearing clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty!
The workshop includes lunch and refreshments. All our food is freshly made on the premises using locally sourced ingredients where possible. With 48-hours' notice, we can cater for most dietary and allergy needs. Please get in touch using the contact form if you have any questions or to inform us of any specific requirements/requests.
