ENJOY A WONDERFUL DISPLAY OF TRACTION ENGINES AND VINTAGE VEHICLES LOCATED AROUND THE RAILWAY!
Vintage Vehicles returns with even more steam driven demonstrations this year, as well as vehicles of all shapes and sizes. Wattie Pollock will be back (‘Where’s Wattie’), along with some familiar steamy exhibits and some that haven’t visited us before. There will be displays of classic cars, motorcycles, tractors and commercial vehicles.
There will be plenty to see for all ages, from the small scale to full size engines, steam powered to petrol.
Exhibits from 25 years old to pre-war.
Enjoy unlimited steam train travel throughout the day, hopping on and off as you please at our four picturesque heritage stations.
WHAT’S ON
ROPLEY STATION:
• Vintage cars, classic motorbikes and vintage tractors on display in the top car park.
• Full size & miniature traction engines on display in the lower station car park.
• Wattie Pollock on display. A general purpose steam engine built in 1912.
• Steam crane demonstrations at Ropley yard.
• Stone Crusher powered by a working traction engine demonstrations in Ropley yard.
• NEW for 2023 – ‘Remus’ steam roller on display.
• NEW for 2023 – Wood sawing demonstrations in Ropley yard.
• TWO delightful miniature railways.
• Local ales and cider available from the Beer Junction.
• Hot & cold food & drink available at the T-Junction.
• Ropley shop open, 10am – 5pm.
ALRESFORD STATION:
• Vintage & retro buses on display.
• Alresford Shop open, 10am – 5pm.
EVENING ENTERTAINMENT:
There will be evening entertainment with Dr. Busker ‘The last Victorian pub pianist’ on Saturday 10 June, 7pm until 10.30pm, at Ropley station. Evening entertainment is included for Vintage Vehicles ticket holders. If you are not visiting in the day, you can buy tickets for just the evening for £10 per person on our website.
