Heritage Open Day: Come join Loughborough’s first ever Bell Festival! See the parade of the willow bell as it journeys from All Saints Church to Queen’s Park, to enjoy music, art activities and performances celebrating the town’s long history with bells. Join us as the bells ring out for Loughborough in the first of three annual events to commemorate the bell as a unique symbol of Loughborough and its heritage. Come see our 7-foot willow bell representing the town’s bell foundry and their 1882 commission for Great Paul, the largest bell ever cast in Britain. See it blessed to the peal of bells at the door of our 14th century parish church and watch as it leaves on the back of a heritage steam engine, to be welcomed in Queen’s Park by music from our hundred-year-old Carillon Tower.
