Join Halima Cassell for an insightful and intimate talk about her practice and exhibition Reflections at Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts house with Lakeland Arts’ Head of Curatorial, Helen Stalker.
The talk will delve into topics such as sources inspiration for Cassell’s sculptures, what it is like to return to Blackwell after a decade and the ambitious Virtues of Unity project.
Reflections is an extensive exhibition of ceramic sculptures, drawings and wallpapers, which spans throughout the Arts & Crafts house. From 30 September the exhibition will feature Cassell’s incredible installation Virtues of Unity, which showcases sculptures made from clays sourced from around the world. The installation is an ongoing project with Cassell aiming to create a sculpture using clay from every country across the globe.
