North Notts Local Group Talk: The Story of an Ancient Woodland

All woodlands can tell a story if you look deep enough. Join Michael Walker for a deep dive on the history of Ploughman Wood.

About the event
Ploughman Wood is an ancient woodland owned and managed by Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust on the edge of the Parish of Lowdham. Michael has been researching the wood's history, which dates back to at least the 12th century, using maps, written accounts and the physical evidence that can be seen on the ground. All woodlands can tell a story if you look deep enough and Michael will talk through the methods he has used, which can be applied to your local woodland.

This talk is organised by the North Notts Local Group of Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.
