Britain's What's On Event Guide
Tuneless Choir Tonbridge
Tonbridge Tuneless Choir launched in February 2019 and has been enjoying squawking together every other Thursday evening, belting out musical/film favourites and pop and rock songs as well as liberating our inner Freddie Mercury / Tina Turner to mention a few.
Knowing there’ll be no auditions, judgements or teaching but only joy, laughter and feel-good hormones being released into our bodies means we can all relax.
The choir is managed and led by Sheena Wickenden. A mum, a wife and a full time PA for a construction firm near Tonbridge. Adding to her busy lifestyle is her most favourite job in the world; running the Tuneless Choir. Bringing together like minded people and watching them coming out of their shells and forming friendships has been heart warming.
We are a choir that celebrates the joy of singing without focusing on technical vocal stuff. There is nothing boring or old-fashioned about us, the songs we sing are different each week, with all the words on a screen and singing to modern backing tracks.
If you are looking to join a singing community and are not confident or may have been told you can’t sing then we are just the place. We are a very friendly bunch who welcome new starters with open arms and wonky voices. You don’t need to pluck up courage – we laugh off any wobbly notes and still clap ourselves at the end!
We run fortnightly on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.00pm with a refreshment break halfway through.
Cost is £8.00 pay as you go, discounts available on termly payments.
