Old Arley Gardens - Open Garden for NGS

Old Arley is an ancient village which appears in the Domesday book. More recently it was a small mining community and St Wilfreds Cottages were built in 1907 to accommodate the mine's supervisors and their families. The gardens around the village vary in style and size and the planting is varied, ranging from traditional cottage to more contemporary styles. This year there are a number of new gardens and walking the route is 1½ miles so transport may be necessary.
