Freshfield Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
4 coastal suburban gardens near to Formby sand dunes and NT Nature Reserve, home to the red squirrel. Soil is sandy and well drained. All the gardens feature colourful herbaceous borders with a mixture of shrubs, perennials roses and hydrangeas. The group gardens demonstrate a variety of styles and designs and some with fruit and vegetables areas. Features inc raised beds, greenhouses, rockeries, ponds, arches, pergolas and basket/container displays.
