Ormskirk and Aughton Gardens - Open Garden for NGS

Ormskirk is an historic market town in W Lancashire. The gardens are very diverse with something for everyone. Gorse Hill Nature Reserve situated on a sandstone ridge offers spectacular views across the Lancashire Plain. There is a 5 acre wildflower meadow in summer brimming with a wide variety of wildflowers and grasses. The meadows pond is patrolled by dragonflies and damselflies. 72 Ludlow Drive is a beautiful town garden overflowing with exuberant planting. Comprising a gravel garden, colourful herbaceous and shrub borders, raised shade and rose borders with many old and new roses and clematis. A large glasshouse with a collection of succulents, aeoniums, cacti and pelargoniums. There is also a raised pond and alpine troughs.
