Warton Gardens - Open Garden for NGS

The 6 gardens are spread across the village and offer a wide variety of planting and design ideas. They comprise of a contemporary garden skilfully planted on limestone pavement, a flower picking garden, a plantsman's garden with unusual herbaceous planting, trees and productive vegetable/soft fruit section, a large garden with a series of rooms each with a different atmosphere, a garden with the epitome of country style and a recently created garden designed to encourage pollinators. A group of allotments complete your visit. Families are encouraged and we will be offering children's activities at some gardens. Warton is the birthplace of the medieval ancestors of George Washington. The ruins of the Old Rectory (English Heritage) is the oldest surviving building in the village.
