Fenstanton - Open Garden for NGS

Four contrasting gardens, two large and two small, set around the oldest houses in the village. Ivy Cottage garden is a beautiful example of a mature cottage garden with a wide variety of unusual plants. Wimpole House has a delightful selection of roses, mature trees and shrubs and a pond brimming with life. The Manor House has a more formal garden wrapped around the building with a winding path between well-stocked borders. Church Lane is a hidden garden packed with ferns, hostas and traditional cottage plants. Fenstanton is famous for links to Capability Brown and his family. Whilst in Fenstanton you can visit Browns memorial in the parish church and the grave stone of one of the countrys most famous landscape gardeners.
