Ashen Clough - Open Garden for NGS

Located in a beautiful Peak District valley this large garden has stunning views of Cracken Edge and South Head. The garden is split into a number of different areas inc a Japanese influenced rockery, a long herbaceous border, a wilderness area with naturalised bulbs and wildflowers, a formal kitchen garden and a greenhouse and polytunnel. In June when the garden will be open, many of the rhododendrons and azaleas are in bloom. The garden is on a hillside with some steps and some steep pathways. Care also needs to be taken near the beehive which is situated in the rockery.
