Thirsk Hall is a Grade II* listed townhouse completed by John Carr in 1777 (not open). Behind the house the unexpected 20 acre grounds inc lawns, herbaceous borders, kitchen gardens, walled paddocks and parkland. The present layout and planting are the result of a sensitive restoration, blending formal and informal beds, shrubbery and mature trees.
