Nicolas Bernier’s Coffee Cantata and other delights.
12 noon on Saturday April 6th in St Denys’ Church, off Walmgate, York

Bernier’s Le Caffé will be served up with a rich blend of vocal and instrumental music: soprano duets by Lotti with a cynical look at love, heavenly comfort offered in a Buxtehude cantata for voice and strings, a cheerful and charming violin and viola da gamba trio from Boismortier, with a rare opportunity to hear one of Dall'Abaco's fantasias for solo cello. All in the warm acoustic and beautiful surroundings of a fine medieval church.
