Historic Boat Trips

Historic Boat Trips
An opportunity to travel on a 1930s working narrowboat, now converted to pssenger use, along The Regent's Canal through London. The narrowboat Tarporley was built for the Grand Union Canal Carrying Company and worked round London until the 1950s. It is now operated as a community boat and will be providing this year's historic boat cruises from the museum. The trip should be booked in advance on the museum website. A guide from the museum will travel on board and give a commentary on the history of the canal as you pass along it, and a hot tea or coffee will be offered on the boat. This is a rare opportunity to enjoy a trip like this - most use of the boat is for private charter.
Departs 1130 and the trip will take roughly three hours. It is advisable to bring a packed lunch or buy a sandwich from one of the shops near the museum. Destinations:
