The Festival of Quilts

The Festival of Quilts is the BIGGEST quilting show in Europe with over 22,000 quilting fanatics expected to attend this year. Launched in 2003 in partnership with The Quilters’ Guild it has been a hub for people from all over the world to come together and share their passion for quilting, ever since.

With the help of some of the world’s best textile crafters and tutors, for this year’s event we have put together a jam-packed programme of over 370 different workshops, masterclasses, demos, talks and lectures. From free-motion quilting and Japanese folded patchwork, to kantha, fabric origami, smocking and Indian Block Printing, hone your skills and pick up new ones in a fun and friendly environment.

With an unparalleled selection of quilt and craft supplies from our exhibitors, treat yourself to quality patchwork and quilting supplies, fabric, thread, yarn, kits, haberdashery, sewing machines and more. 2024's exhibitors include the likes of Baby Loco, Bernina, Finstall Fabrics and Jiggery Pokery Embroidery, to name a few!a

Take a break from shopping and workshopping to explore some of the fascinating exhibitions on display, including Liberty Fabrics' feature on the history of the institution and a chance to meet Liberty's designers in 2024. The Festival is home to Europe's largest open quilt competition, which anyone is free to enter, with various categories of quilt - including Miniatures,Contemporar, Pictorial, Traditional, Two Person, and more - judged to the highest standard by the Festival's experts. See the quilts on display, and watch the winners unveiled on-site!
